Brandstad

Brandstad is located at the innermost part of Øksendalen valley and has a parking lot. This is a great starting point for a summit trip to the fantastic Fløtatind mountain. The area is exposed to avalanches, so visitors must be able to assess snow conditions and the risk of avalanches!

Les turbeskrivelse her

Brandstadbu, the unmanned cabin belonging to the Norwegian Trekking Association – Romsdal, is only 200 meters from the parking lot, and there is a waymarked summer trail leading towards Reinsvassbu and over to Eikesdalsvatnet lake. This is not a winter route due to the high risk of avalanches in the area.
